Platelet-rich plasma

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentrate of autologous blood platelets suspended in a small amount of plasma, obtained from the patient’s blood through a specific centrifugation procedure. It is a product that is 100% biocompatible with our organism, making the procedure using platelet-rich plasma a method of skin regeneration even for patients seeking natural products and have concerns about using other preparations.

The therapy involves stimulating the skin cells regeneration using the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma preparation. Platelet-derived growth factors stimulate skin stem cells proliferation and differentiation, activate fibroblasts to produce new collagen, and accelerate the formation of new blood vessels.

The treatment provides long-lasting effects by delaying the aging process through skin regeneration and revitalization. It is also highly effective in treating hair loss, reducing acne scars, and addressing issues like scars and stretch marks.

Procedure Overview:

The procedure involves drawing a small amount of blood from the patient (6–18 mL) into a special tube, which is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate red and white blood cells. The obtained plasma with platelets is then injected into selected areas of the skin after prior local anesthesia with a lidocaine cream. The procedure can also be performed with a cannula, and the choice of method usually depends on the patient’s preferences.

Indications for the Procedure:

  1. Rejuvenation of the skin of the face, neck, neckline, and hands
  2. Correction of wrinkles and folds
  3. Skin regeneration after dermatological procedures
  4. Excessive hair loss, damaged and lackluster hair
  5. Acne scars, postoperative scars, burn scars (the therapy is applied in series every 3 or 4 weeks)
  6. Stretch marks (best results are achieved when treatment is initiated during the stage of red stretch marks, i.e. within 2 years of their formation).
