PLEXR

You take good care of yourself. You follow preventive anti-aging measures and undergo aesthetic medicine procedures to improve the quality of your skin. However, you notice that your face looks sad due to drooping eyelids, and sagging eye corners add years to your appearance. These are the natural effects of the aging process that cause us to lose the youthful expression on our faces. Today, this problem can be addressed without the use of scalpels or lasers, thanks to a new tool for nonsurgical blepharoplasty, the original PLEXR device.

PLEXR generates controlled and targeted microbeam of plasma (ionized gas) created between the device tip and the patient’s skin through a small electrical arc. The energy of plasma causes evaporation of the external layers of the epidermis, resulting in a significant contraction of the lax skin in the treated area. As a result, the desired lift of the eyelid or smoothing of wrinkles is achieved. This has been confirmed by clinical studies and observations of thousands of patients.

Unlike other techniques, the plasma generated by PLEXR does not cause tissue inflammation, bleeding, or necrosis because it does not damage the basal layer of the epidermis and the dermis. Thanks to this, the healing process is short, and the patient is not excluded from daily activities.

Procedure Overview:

The procedure involves creating small points on the skin’s surface, approximately 0.5 mm apart. It usually takes less than 20 minutes. Immediately after the procedure, the patient may experience mild burning in the treated areas, which generally subsides within 2 hours, as well as slight swelling and redness in the treated area, which may persist for up to 3 days after the procedure. Point “scabs” with a diameter of less than 1 mm last up to 7 days.

Depending on the degree of advancement of skin changes and the purpose of the procedure, the desired effect of PLEXR therapy can be achieved after one or several sessions (the procedure can be repeated as needed).

Indications for the Procedure:

  1. Eyelid lift (non-invasive blepharoplasty)
  2. Lift of the lower part of the face
  3. Treatment of persistent deep wrinkles around the eyes, ears, and mouth (so-called smoker’s wrinkles)
  4. Removal of lentigines, discolorations, and tattoos
  5. Removal of skin lesions such as hemangiomas, flat warts, seborrheic warts, fibroids, solar keratosis, and verrucas
  6. Treatment of scars and stretch marks.

Post-procedure Care

  1. Immediately after the procedure, the doctor applies a special concealer foundation to the treated areas to ensure their proper protection and camouflage.
  2. It is recommended not to remove the foundation until the scabs fall off, which occurs within 7 days after the procedure, and to replenish the foundation if it is removed.
  3. Do not apply any soothing creams, ointments, or gels to the treated areas, as this softens the scabs and prolongs healing.
  4. After the scabs fall off, it is advisable to use soothing creams recommended by the doctor and creams with sun protection for about 6 weeks.
